Before I left Los Angeles I was working on a bunch of similar art projects. I wanted a glossy finish but not sure what to use. The tops of my art projects are covered with a collage of paper type materials.

Beer labels
Magazine pages
News print

Any suggestions?

Any ideas of where I could find it (outside of ordering)?

I am looking for resources for buying large (for me as an individual) amounts fo fabrics. I am especially interested in muslins and silks. I am also looking for a source of Metal boneing and busks. I live in south east Round Rock. I am not adverse to ordering out of the country if needed. I am going to try to make a go at producing costumes for a living. I have been doing costumes on a one off basis for many years.

How to get started selling

Hey all, I need some advice/hints/tips on how to get started selling your goods.

I'm hoping to start selling sometime next year (I think I'll have enough to sell by then!). But I really have no clue as to how to get started. Well, I have a few clues, but they're so general...

Any tips on:
Tax ID's
Shows/Fairs
Stores that sell your stuff for commission (how much commission is the norm?)
online selling
etc..

Anyone have good/bad/learning experiences to share?

Thanks!!

Hey, I'm moving to Austin this summer!

I do any craft. Those I don't do I will do some day. I might even figure out how to make a living from it one of these days. Meanwhile I am a mostly unemployed artist/Information Architect. Who else is here?
